​What is Shelter?

 

  • ​Outcome ENS1.5: Compares and contrasts natural and built features in their local area and the ways in which people interact with these features.

Topic Outcomes

This is the first topic in the unit 'The need for Shelter'. Students will learn about the importance of Shelter as they work collaboratively to define the term 'shelter', learn about the difference between natural and built shelters, and discover the materials needed to build different types of shelters. Students will be provided with the opportunity to learn from each other as they work through a variety of co-operative learning activities.
